It’s Monday morning and since retirement I don’t mind Mondays. As I have said before I just sit and watch everyone leave the village join the traffic queue and crawl to work. But it’s Bank Holiday Monday and everyone’s off. This is just another one of the holidays that I don’t get any more.


I think bank holidays should be scrapped. And to make matters worse the sun's shining. Not that I’m selfish or anything but it’s one of the perks of retirement, sunshine all week and then rain on Saturday and Sunday and then if the sun comes out again on Monday morning, brilliant but not when it’s a bank holiday.


Anyway as it is a holiday here in England I'm taking today off. I am not sure what to do, maybe join the traffic jam to the coast or drive round Beverley trying to find a parking space amongst all the bank holiday shoppers. Maybe I could try and get into B&Q or Focus with all the other DIYers or just maybe I could sit here and do nothing. Have a day off, that sounds OK.


But the point of this article is to say that there will not be an article today, does it make sense to have an article to say there won’t be an article? Well, I've done it now.


But anyway tomorrows will be about the quality that is all things Liverpool
